BUILDING PERMITS required - Issued by a State Certified Inspector working through General Engineering, Portage, WI.

BURNING PERMITS – Required from January 1 – May 31 each year if the ground is not snow covered. Burning is permitted only during the hours of 6pm to Midnight. Burning permits are required for burning barrels. Barrels shall have lids. Permits are free of charge and can be obtained from your local fire wardens. They are William Horton, Babette Schumann, Gary Crawford and the Portage Fire Dept.

COLUMBIA COUNTY RECYCLING CENTER – Town of Pacific residents only may take their recyclables to the center located on Hwy 16 during the hours of 8am – 4pm Saturdays and 2:00pm – 6pm Tuesdays. Brush can be brought in during the months of May and September without charge.

CAUCUS – Saturday, January 10, 2009, 1:00pm, Pacific Town Hall

The Town of Pacific uses a Caucus system in place of a Primary Election. This is when your Town officials are elected to be on the Spring ballot. Come, nominate and vote!

ELECTION DATES - February 17, 2009
– April 7, 2009 Spring Election (Town Officials)

MEETINGS – Plan Commission Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30pm. Regular Town Board Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:00pm.
